Chocolate Cake for tea!!

Okay, so it's my sister's birthday tomorrow and I have decided to bake a chocolate cake- here's the recipe

5oz self-raising flour
3oz cocoa powder
4oz caster sugar
4oz unsalted butter
2 large eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp baking powder
1 tbsp golden syrup

I've followed this recipe since I was four years old and first baked a cake- I remember making it once with Mum whilst Dad was out with Tris (my younger brother) they were sooo pleased when they got back!  So there you go, that is my recipe for chocolate cake, and for icing it, use 3/4 of a block of unsalted butter and as much icing sugar as you think it needs (so until it starts to get too sweet, then you could add cocoa powder though it's not a neccessity)

new beginnings

Well, it's the frst holiday since Christmas and I'm desperately hoping it will be better. 
  I'm planning on taking my younger brothers and sister to the park a couple of times, and maybe even to a farm so they can feed the animals. It's been ages since we did something properly as a family.

I always tried to keep the family together, but since I scared Mum off by telling her my story, it's been so difficult. She left when I was eight, since then, I've subsituted for her in many ways.

   1)    I slept on the street two nights last week
   2)    I kissed my life-long best friend (who's a boy!)
   3)    I almost hit my sister

MY first post!!

I'm new to this whole blogging thing, I don't really know what to talk about, I just want to keep a diary for people to read, one that people can use to not make the same mistakes I have, and those that I am yet to make.
Mistake #1,  I let someone get away with a terrible thing.

Mistake #2,   I let my own feelings get in the way- now, my Mom's gone.

Mistake #3,  I don't cry.
